Life is Good!

Still having issues depositing into a EU site. My VISA apparently have blocked all transactions involving gambling. So it's impossible for me to deposit with my credit card. I find this kind of annoying especially when this is not enforced by the law. Like, Americans cannot deposit because the law forbids it. I cannot deposit with my credit card because the company says "fuck you".

So back to wrestling with MB it is. Bleh.

Gonna write this as a record in case I need to refer to it in an email in the future. But also for those who may have similar problem as I dealing with MB in the future.


Okay, so I closed my MB account, and opened another. Generally speaking, I want to keep things very clean and straight forward so I don't run into any issues, so I'll be taking appropriate steps to ensure this. That being said, I think MB wants you to re-open a closed account than to open another, but there are few reasons why I did this:

A) My 1st account was unverified anyway, so its value is equivalent to hundreds of thousands of ghost accounts that are not in use.

B) The currency was handled in USD, and they told me that I cannot change that unless I close and open another.

C) I wanted to contact them to be sure, but they won't let you email them unless you signed up. My only account at the time was closed, and when I did login with that account, they said to contact them through a phone number which was like...unreachable from both my phone and google phone app. So I'm like, whatever...-_-..


I opened the account in CAD, which I think is better than having it in USD. I mean, it was great to have USD when American dollars were stronger than Canadian, but it's not like that anymore. Besides, I use CAD IRL, so even if CAD goes weaker than USD, it's probably better to keep it like this (it's just easier).

The process has not changed at all; MB still wants you to deposit to them in order to verify your account. I called my bank (RBC) to see just how much it would cost. With the provided bank details of MB in Germany, it costs roughly 45CAD. And I believe MB requires minimum of 5EUR or so.

But I also found out that there's a way to transfer funds online called RBC International Remittance where the surcharge is only 13.50CAD. When I called my banks months earlier, they did not inform me of this. I suspect it was because of a common case where people do not care about their jobs.

Still, I find it really stupid that if I were to handle this online, it costs me ~14 bucks whereas if I were to call in and talk to a rep, it costs more than 3x that amount. Things are just broken everywhere.

This web transfer isn't perfect however, because MB wants you to reference a special 8-digit number which refers to your account and it's up to the bank in Germany to take this information and relay it to MB appropriately. If they don't, I end up giving MB free money since they have no idea to which MB customer they're receiving the money from (it would be up to MB to contact their bank and acquire this 8-digit number). Obviously, they're professionals, and have done this many times to not mess up. But I rather be safe than sorry to note this here as a reference in case I need to address it the future with a MB support.


I won't be making the transfer for a good week or so. I need to go to a bank and change my name. For all my life I've lived as Peter Lee, and that was fine when I was living with an income of $500/year. But my legal name is actually different from what it says on my bank card, so it's causing issues. I almost couldn't buy stuff from a Walmart the other day because when I gave them my credit card, they asked for my ID, and the names didn't match. They let me get away however, which to me was kind of strange. But I would've been tilted out of my mind if I couldn't purchase anything because of that.

Lesson learned, it's just easier to have everything by your legal name. I'm gonna go to the bank and change all that and then make the transfer to MB, since I also made MB account under my legal name.


And if everything works out well, I'll be depositing within two weeks time and working hard to rebuild my roll. This whole process feels very rough. It doesn't help that I tilted away a large sum of my roll in Vegas playing outside of my roll (something I've never done in my life). I even had a coaching deal and I can't even afford that now. This whole situation I am in is just... so embarrassing and frustrating. I find it humorous and tragic at the same time that the shittier the RL situation get, the better I become at video games -_-...But no more of that, I'm taking care of my shit now.

Okay, so.. still in vegas, flight's at 11:30pm and it's like.. 3pm..-_-;;..

Got nothing to do because I'm like broke -_______-...

I had played beyond my bankroll and got raped at 1/3 game in Rio. I don't think I've made stupider decision in a long time, but oh well. It's done, and much as I want the time to rewind, it won't happen. I'll be dropping down a few to rebuild, it will be a humbling experience in the least.

EVO was... fucking amazing. This was my first Vegas trip and it was pretty cool (although I never really went outside of Rio at all). I see some people saying it just isn't as good. I don't know. I thoroughly enjoyed the event, and the shit was hype as hell.

I did get to meet Nanonoko, haahahah. Such a humble, awesome guy.


I believe Penn is the second coming of Jesus.

Got to airport 2 hours early, worst line up ever. Wouldn't have mattered if I had gotten there 5 hours early, since they were just pushing people ahead of their lines depending on their flight time.

And thus, I missed my flight. Rescheduled with 4 hour delay, and now I'm sitting here doing fuckall for next 4 hours ><

Netteller and MB still failing for me. In fact, they've stopped emailing me back altogether it seems. I can't be beshitted with this right now. I'll sort that shit out once I'm back from Vegas.

Going to Vegas not for gambling purposes, but for EVO. It will be the most hype year yet. Will take picturez, and I hope to meet nanonoko (I think he attended the last EVO).
